Indian Corn Bread - REALLY GOOD!
Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 cup corn meal | |
| 1 ½ c flour | |
| 4 tsp baking powder | |
| ½ tsp salt | |
| 1 c maple syrup | |
| 2 beaten eggs (or eggbeaters) | |
| ¼ cup vegetable oil | |
| 1 cup milk |
At Home:
Combine all dry ingredients and place in zip lock bag. Include recipe in bag.
At Camp:
Add wet ingredients. Pour into a preheated greased Dutch Oven. Replace lid and bake for approximately 30 minutes (if hot coals are applied to top).
Bake until firm… toothpick test is not reliable with these.
