Indian Corn Bread - REALLY GOOD!

Recipe Ingredients

bullet1 cup corn meal
bullet1 ½ c flour
bullet4 tsp baking powder
bullet½ tsp salt
bullet1 c maple syrup
bullet2 beaten eggs (or eggbeaters)
bullet¼ cup vegetable oil
bullet1 cup milk

At Home:

Combine all dry ingredients and place in zip lock bag. Include recipe in bag.

At Camp:

Add wet ingredients. Pour into a preheated greased Dutch Oven. Replace lid and bake for approximately 30 minutes (if hot coals are applied to top).

Bake until firm… toothpick test is not reliable with these.
